With Fashion Week just a week away, I was looking back at some photos I took this summer during a press event at The Factory on Russell Street in Rochester. The building, which is under renovation, will be the venue for the Thursday night Fashion Week show.
It is hard to imagine how this stripped-down interior will be refashioned, but I have no doubt that the Fashion Week folks will work their magic and that The Factory will deliver a special vibe.
Patrick Dutton, the building's developer, told me that one nice feature will be the redesign of some of the front windows to create openings to the street, which will be lined with food trucks the night of the show.
Other features at the venue, according to Meghan Mundy, one of Fashion Week's organizers, will be artwork, great lighting, lots of color, and of course beautiful people.
After taking in these 'before' photos, I'm excited to see the 'after' photos that we will be snapping next week.
