Grab yourself some puppy love from RSPCA

RSPCA special puppy sale until Sunday 20th October. Acting shelter manager Alex Byrne. Tanya Easterby

LOST and lonely and looking for love - it is all part of the canine condition for far too many of our best friends.

And that is where Alexandria Byrne comes in.

Alex, acting manager of the RSPCA's Gympie shelter, loves her work and the animals she works with.

And she wants you to love them too.

Puppy season has left the shelter with an over-abundance of cute, excitable, tail-wagging, tongue-lolling pups, each of them ready, willing and able to steal your heart away.

And just to make the decision easier, the pups - de-sexed, microchipped and just bursting with cuteness - are going cheap.

The Gympie shelter is having a special puppy sale that will run until tomorrow week, October 20.

'All puppies will be on sale for $299 and that includes a bag of food,' Ms Byrne said yesterday.

'Puppies normally sell for $465, so this is a considerable saving.'
