Service Dogs of Virginia hosts their annual pop-up sale in Albemarle County.
They are selling paintings made by the service dogs as well as other goods like soaps and oils.
Thea Yancey, a volunteer who raises dogs explained why she began making the soaps. 'I started with a lavender soap for my dog river who was thought to be a little anxious. I was showering with it and I was washing her with it and it seems to work. I kind of got carried away, started with the essential oils and evolved in other soaps that we are making.'
The sale lasts through Thursday from 10-2 PM in the Albemarle Square Shopping Center.
All proceeds will go to Service Dogs of Virginia.
