Five things we loved about JW Anderson spring/summer 2015

1. The backwards sailor pants.

The nautical gold buttons appeared on the back rather than the front. It was a classic JW Anderson twist: unexpected, a bit weird, really wantable. And - bonus - flattering.

Oversized sunhats in Hell's Angel black leather, rope ties and sailcloth cut outs. Towelling coords - half skirt suit, half on-deck cover up. Think Alexa Chung on a yacht next summer. 3. The luxe leather.

The sophisticated, skilful leather shapes - from elegant skirts to draped funnel necks - bode well for the designer's upcoming debut at Spanish leather house Loewe.

4. The pussy-bow meets neck-tie detail.

It wouldn't be a JW show without a new take on androgyny. This time around it was a little more chic, a little more bourgeois. Who knew LVMH would suit him so well? 5. Overboard.

As in the 1987 Goldie Hawn film was surely on the moodboard. The oversized picturehats, yacht cover-ups and loads of leather were a dead give away. Joanna Stayton's pre-amnesia rich bitch wardrobe reworked beautifully for 2015.
