When we hear fashion critics like Simon Doonan refer to Fashion Week as a 'fabulous Mardi Gras,' we can't help but picture the extremely unwearable beauty looks we see come down the runways.
Models sit grim-faced backstage as their hair is twisted into towering ponytails, faces are plastered with concrete-like makeup and nails are lengthened with trinkets that can do some serious body harm. (Somebody give these girls and guys a raise!)
