Vera Wang is pulling out of the increasingly frenzied Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center.

Instead, the 64-year-old designer will show at another location away from the tents in February, Women's Wear Daily reported.

Last week, Carolina Herrera announced she, too, is considering not showing at Lincoln Center, telling the New York Times the fashion affair has 'gotten too commercial, too much like a trade show.' Oscar de la Renta has also criticized the 'megashows,' and recently cut his guest lists.

Earlier this month, IMG Fashion, which runs Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, said they're revamping the event in response to designers' complaints that the shows are overcrowded with fashion bloggers, the venues are out-of-date, and prices to rent show spaces are too high.

'It was becoming a zoo,' Catherine Bennett, IMG's senior vice president and managing director, admitted to the Wall Street Journal.
