Simon Cowell found himself on the wrong side of the law while relaxing during a family day out at Miami beach.
Sunning himself on the sand with girlfriend Lauren Silverman, baby Eric and their dogs Squiddly and Diddly, he was left rather red-faced when a uniformed officer approached Cowell to give him a ticking off.

While Cowell hadn't exactly been harbouring drugs or been part of a hit-and-run, he had broken the strict 'no dogs' rule on the beach.
Si, 54, was issued with a warning for breaking the rule by allowing his Yorkshire Terriers onto the white sands of the exclusive Bal Harbour resort.

But luckily the policeman wasn't too harsh on the music mogul, who welcomed baby Eric with Lauren on Valentine's Day, and decided against fining him $200, which is a potential charge for breaking the beach rule.
An onlooker told the Daily Mail: '[Simon] told them he would not do it again and seemed happy that he got away with a telling off.'
