MANILA - Organizers of the Philippine Fashion Week were praised for being more inclusive as blind women were seen walking down the runway along with other models over the weekend.
Two blind models were seen wearing items from the holiday show of ESAC by Lyle Ibañez and Audieae as they strutted down the catwalk.
In these photographs by Mark Cristino for ABS-CBNnews.com, one of the blind models walked around the stage with a cane in hand, wearing an orange knee-length dress.
Some of the audience members in Philippine Fashion Week 2014 took to social media to give credit to organizers for letting blind models be represented.
Preview Magazine, in particular, commended the Philippine Fashion Week for 'showing heart' in this year's show.
