ABC Family's Tori Spelling, Ashley Tisdale Comedies Get Series Orders

ABC Family is adding two comedy series to its scripted slate.

Mystery Girls, starring and produced by Beverly Hills, 90210 alums Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth, and Young & Hungry, starring Emily Osment and produced by Ashley Tisdale, have been greenlighted to series.

'It's great to start the new year and my tenure at ABC Family with the pickup of these two funny original series. ABC Family's comedy lineup continues to resonate with our audience and I'm thrilled to boost that momentum by adding Mystery Girls and Young & Hungry, which are sure to become fan favorites,' said ABC Family president Tom Ascheim.

The series orders mark the first moves by Ascheim, who took over from Michael Riley as network president.
