Miley Cyrus puts on a pouty face in Marc Jacobs Spring 2014 fashion campaign

Miley Cyrus took a break from sticking out her tongue in her latest modeling gig.

On Wednesday an image from her Marc Jacobs spring campaign was released by Nylon and she's almost unrecognizable.

With her blonde locks darkened and her expression unusually morose, the 21-year-old looks like the sad version of her Bangerz fun-girl persona.

The former Disney star has also dropped the racy white Spandex body suits in favor of a more covered-up look.

She's decked out in an orate navy blue jacket with black embellishments, burgundy dress shorts and a pair of comfy looking black shoes with white embroidery.

Her natural makeup give her a slight adrogynous Justin Bieber appeal.

Miley's goth black nail polish and exposed wrist and hand tattoos add just the right amount of hipster edge to balance the classy luxurious clothes.

The We Can't Stop singer joins a long list of It girls to rep the fashion brand including Dakota Fanning, Sofia Coppola and Victoria Beckham.

Miley has been good friends with the designer for a long time and just yesterday tweeted a photo sticking out her tongue and wearing one of his pro same sex marriage T-shirts featuring a lesbian couple with their child that read: 'I pay my taxes, I want my rights!'

The Hannah Montana actress has also been spotted wearing Marc Jacobs gowns to several high profile events lately.

In October, the former Hannah Montana star looked glamourous in a floor-length sparkly green sequined number at the Fashion Group International's 30th Annual Night of the Stars Event in New York.

A few weeks later, she turned up on the The X-Factor wearing the American designer's gold crepe dress matched with an interesting black turban by Brick Lane.

As far as the rumors linking her to actor Kellan Lutz, the buff Legend of Hercules star denied they are an item on the Today show.

'Miley and I have been friends ... it's comical for me,' he said.

'I'm a public figure, she's a public figure, I've been friends with her for six years and we're in the same circle.... I'm dating everyone these days, let's just start that rumor!'
