Cayman Islands Fashion Week

The Cayman Islands will be transformed into fashion central when Guavaberry Marketing presents Cayman Islands Fashion Week 2014 from April 19 to 27. The weeklong event will feature an exciting line up of international, local and regional designers and models for an extended week of style, glitz and glamour. The spectacular fashion show will highlight collections from designers such as Cesar Galindo, Shaun Griffith Perez, Roger Gary, Edwing D'Angelo and Poetic Rhythm who will headline the main event, which takes place on Saturday, April 26.Local designers Melissa Dilbert and Norma Ebanks will complete the line up of designers to be showcased at the event. The main event will also feature international supermodels and a cast of models from top New York agencies, the Caribbean and our own Cayman IslandsThe week would not be complete without a series of fashion fueled parties, including the Culture and Style Welcome Party and the 'MyStyle' Soiree, leading up to the 'Fashion Gala' main event on April 26, immediately followed by the VIP After Party. Co-hosts are Anya Ayoung Chee, 2011 winner of Project Runway and Cayman's own fashion forward, Richard Barton.Put your best foot forward, dress to the nines, and see you there!

Anya Ayoung CheeAnya Ayoung Chee is a Caribbean designer hailing from Trinidad and Tobago. In 2011, she was cast as the underdog in Season 9 of Lifetime Television's 'Project Runway,' yet she emerged the victor after showing a stunning Spring/Summer 2012 Collection named TOBAGO LOVE at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York.Since then, Anya has launched the destination travel line, ANYA, and shown her collections in New York, London, South Africa and throughout the Caribbean. She has also spoken at universities throughout the US and the Caribbean including Harvard, Cornell and SVA to share her inspiring story.Currently Anya is a mentor on a new Lifetime show, Tim Gunn's reality series 'Under the Gunn'.Richard BartonCo-hosting alongside Anya, is the very talented Richard 'Richie' Barton, a well recognized entrepreneur, Attorney-at-Law and ambassador of entertainment and fashion here in the Cayman Islands and wider Caribbean.Richard owns his own law firm and is a part of the Crescendo Group, organizers of some of the best elite soirees on the island. He is also the host of Radio Cayman's Business Buzz and is married with one beautiful daughter.
