The best in Philippine haute couture, style, innovation, culture, and creativity will once again turn the heads of fashion enthusiasts around the globe during the Canada Philippine Fashion Week (CPFW) this June 9 to 14.
Philippine fashion icons, visionaries, and rising stars are all expected to attend CPFW. The star-studded affair will last for six days and will be held in the most poignant venues in Toronto, Canada. Guests will be treated to a smorgasbord of live performances and fashion shows, a chance to meet the biggest names in Philippine fashion, and a cultural immersion through food and art exhibits.
This year, GMA Pinoy TV, GMA Life TV, and GMA News TV International -GMA's three international channels-will be CPFW's exclusive media sponsors.
CPFW is the brainchild of Filipino-Canadian Executive Director Jeff Rustia. Launched in 2013, the event went on to gain accolades such as the prestigious FEO (Festival and Events Ontario) 2014 Award for being the ' Best Festival of the Year. ' This has cemented CPFW's reputation as a tourism destination event in Toronto.
CPFW opens with a Habi Textile Exhibit at the Grand Ballroom of the Shangri-La Toronto on June 9. The joint introduction of the premiere collection Independencia and the CPFW Model of the Year will happen on June 12 at the Guvernment Club, to be succeeded by Philippine Fashion's Biggest Night on June 13 at the Canadian, Royal York. To cap off the dazzling week of fashion, CPFW will hold the grand Canada Philippine Fashion Ball at the Concert Hall, Royal York on the 14th of June.
