Angelos Bratis To Show At Giorgio Armani's Theater During Milan Fashion Week

(Photo : Getty Images/Andreas Rentz)

Giorgio Armani is making dreams come true.

The famed designer is giving another emerging fashion talent the chance to show off his wares via a runway show. At his theater on Milan's Via Bergognone, Armani will host Greek designer Angelos Bratis' runway show during Milan Fashion Week, which runs from Sept. 17 through 22.

'My initiative in supporting little-known but promising designers is paying off, and personally, I'm quite passionate about it,' Armani told WWD.

'The future of the system depends on new generations, and I am happy to be able to contribute in an active way.'

Bratis, who was born in Athens and graduated from the Fashion Institute Arnhem in Amsterdam with a degree in fashion design, launched his namesake womenswear label in 2005 after working at Vionnet and Roberto Cavalli. Bratis also won the Who Is On Next talent contest promoted by Alta Roma and Vogue Italia in 2011.

'For me, the great Italian maestro is the perfect example of a designer who has deep values, expressed throughout a long career. These are the same values that I try to express in my work: femininity and pure elegance without artifice,' Bratis said.

In May, Armani announced that he would allow Christian Pellizzari to show at his theater during Milan's men's fashion week.

'During my career, [Armani's] talent, consistency and timeless style have always fascinated me. I hope to live up to his iconic theater with my fashion show, as this is an important step for me in my creative and professional life,' Pellizzari said prior to the show.

In January, Armani announced that he had selected Mirko Fontana and Diego Marquez of Au Jour le Jour to show their fall 2014 at his theater in February.

Andrea Pompilio, Stella Jean and Julian Zigerli have also previously showed at Armani's theater.

Caucasian shepherd dogs bred for hunting Russian bears go on sale in ...

A Caucasian Ovcharka dwarfs its owner

They can grow to a massive size - and are programmed to protect against the fiercest predators.

Now huge dogs bred for hunting Russian bears are going on sale in Northern Ireland for the first time.

Male Caucasian Ovcharka dogs can reach as much as 14 stone in weight and eat their way through two huge bowls of dog food a day, according to Newry man Jason Mooney, who is offering them for sale.

Mr Mooney said he has a one-year male called Bear, which has already reached 11 or 12 stone, and a 18-month female called Orya.

'I was in England a few years ago and a friend of mine has some - he was the first person to bring them into England,' he said.

'It was the size that struck me - I thought they were massive.

'They can be quite protective dogs as well.

'He had three of his grandchildren with him and the dog was trying to go for me to keep me away from them. But the ones I have are quite placid - they wouldn't be as protective as his were.'

Mr Mooney said the dogs were originally bred for bear hunting and have featured in Russia's Toughest Prisons series on National Geographic channel.

'They have them as guard dogs,' he explained.

'Everyone is stunned by them. We live in the countryside and the postman came up and asked what they were. Then he said he had Googled them - he thought they were brilliant. Everybody is surprised by the size of them.

'I have plenty of room here for them to run about. We wouldn't take them for walks very often because we have two acres of land and they have the run of the whole place.'

Mr Mooney says the dogs are great with his children Kai (4) and Alicia (18 months).

'Kai has been bred up with them and they love him. They knock him over the odd time because they are so big but they love him,' he said. 'They just chase each other around.'

The dogs also get on well with the other animals, including the goats.

'The big dog would put his paw on the goat and try to push him to the ground,' Mr Mooney says.

'The male wouldn't be fully grown yet - he's about 11 or 12 stone at the moment and he will probably reach 14 stone. He would eat two big dog bowls of food a day filled to the brim.

'I've bred Akitas too, and they wouldn't be a small dog, but when these were five-six weeks they were twice the size of the Akita pups at that age.'

Mr Mooney said the breed is familiar to a lot of Polish people in the area as they know them from home.

'A lot of people would know what they are as soon as they see them,' he said. 'They need to go to someone who has plenty of room. It wouldn't suit them to be going to a a little back street yard - they need room to exercise.'

Background

The Caucasian Ovcharka, or Caucasian shepherd dog, is a flock guardian used to protect sheep from predators and thieves. For centuries flocks of sheep have existed in Caucasia, the mountainous land mass between the Black and Caspian Seas. Dogs similar to this breed have protected the sheep from predators for at least 600 years.

Beethoven is a 1992 comedy film about a loveable St Bernard puppy named after composer Ludwig van Beethoven, who keeps growing and causes mayhem around the home.

Is A Cigarette Pouch Poised To Be New York Fashion Week's Hottest New Accessory?

Cigarettes are objectively the worst thing for your body. Ever. But that doesn't mean people have stopped smoking them. Even at $14 a pack in NYC, the business isn't going anywhere. Even e-cigarettes are slated to make over a billion dollars this year. So, streetwear brand CLSC has teamed up with Lu Rosa Co. on a pebble grain, made-in-Italy leather pouch and lighter holder for all the style conscious smokers out there. This is probably the hottest new accessory you'll see New York Fashion Week. After all, we all know Tommy Ton can't resist a good shot of a stylish dude lighting up a dart.

Wraps come off fashion week's burgeoning talent

Unlike most designers, the grande dame of South African fashion, Marianne Fassler, did not emerge from backstage after her show, which opened this year's Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Cape Town at the International Convention Centre on Thursday last week.

She was seated in the front row next to her husband and, at the end of the show, joined the models to dance down the runway following the final walk through.

Fassler evoked a dream summer holiday on a beautiful African coast with a mélange of clashing prints and, at times, panels of light, transparent fabric. The accessories - earrings and shoes - and the shredded hems of some of her dresses and skirts point to a Zulu inspiration, but her collection is far more diverse than this might suggest.

'I have always loved disintegration at the hemline because I just love the way the Shembe wear skirts,' she said after the show, adding that 're-engineering' fabric is something that has become part of her signature. 'Our work is very often informed by upcycling and scraps of fabric. With this collection, specifically, we started out with prints, but then we decided to disintegrate the prints and spread it over tulle so, in the end, you don't really recognise what the prints were.'

Japan - the new and the old Another of the local industry's most recognisable and respected names, Gavin Rajah, showed a collection that evoked Japonism. Large Ogi hand fans hung from the ceiling above the runway and the models wore geisha-inspired make-up and the conical traditional kasa hats.

Craftsmanship alone makes Rajah's work worth sitting on those fashion week seats for the long time that his shows often take. His inspiration, Japanese woodblock prints, served as a metaphor for the collection - an abundantly luxurious couture collection with meticulous attention paid to detail.

Stefania Morland also played with the Japanese influence, albeit from a more contemporary perspective - more Harajuku than kimono.

A candy pop approach to the Amish aesthetic Anisa Mpungwe's label, Loin Cloth & Ashes, has become one of the favourites of fashion week - thanks to the designer's ability to keep delivering fresh, exciting collections.

This year's range drew from the simplicity and conservatism of Amish dress, injected with the jubilance of an urban African disposition. Stripes, dots and candy colours dominated, and models walked out wearing re-imagined Amish headwear that often matched the colours or prints of the looks they wore.

'The term we were working with initially was ghetto Amish but we actually stepped away from the ghetto and made it more candy pop,' the designer said, adding that she is a lover of pop art.

'It gives you an alternative to what you normally see. I like Dadaism and expressionism, that movement in art makes one think differently. So, I thought: What about having these hats in African print fabrics? What about playful shorts, which is something that would have not been allowed in that kind of society?'

Emergence of the 'new guard' Last year's Elle Rising Star Design award-winner Nicholas Coutts was out to show why he deserved the coveted title, if his powerful presentation during the AFI Next Generation segment was anything to go by.

Bold structures, colour, magnificent metallics and opulent textures defined the young designer's runway debut. Similarly, another young designer, Lara Klawikowski, sent models sashaying down the runway in a range of bold, conceptual looks, once again employing the label's signature pin-tucking technique.

Coutts and Klawikowski put many established designers who waste time with uninspiring and repetitive ranges to shame. It really boggles the mind why the likes of Non-European, Lalesso and several others still show on the fashion week stage if they are not willing to inject even the slightest element of surprise.

The absence of several brands that usually feature at the Cape Town shows saw an emergence of what buyer Felicity Spies termed a 'new guard'. Habits, David Tlale, Thula Sindi and Rosenworth are just some of the brands that sat this season out.

'I think [it is] the new talent that is coming through,' Spies said. 'I thought Selfi, for instance, did a great job. I think she put a great collection together in terms of telling a story. Unfortunately, I still think the quality in terms of fabric is still lacking. I think if she is going to break into the money, the real customers and buyers, she has got to up her game slightly. But she's definitely got the artistic talent.'

Confidence is coming throughJessica Lupton from Gaschette Magazine said she felt the energy of the emerging talent was something that bodes well for local fashion. Although Mpungwe has moved beyond the 'emerging' category, her collection cements her position at the top.

'I'm obsessed with Loin Cloth & Ashes. I think Anisa is exploring a new African identity and how old South Africa meets new South Africa, which is pretty cool,' Lupton said.

The outgoing editor of Elle magazine, Jackie Burger, said the industry is reaching a stage of maturation.

'When I started out, the industry was still in its infancy, but the creativity has always been there,' she said. 'What I enjoyed is that, I think, there's a lot more focus. From a designer's point of view, I feel that there is a new energy. Yes, they still have their signature looks but there's a confidence and a modernity that is coming through.

'I also liked how a lot of designers are really focusing on the strengths of their brands. If you look at Marianne, if you look at Gavin, it's larger than life. It's layered, it's beautiful fabrics - the craftsmanship is excellent.

'I think, once you get that shift, the shows become so much more relevant and, sitting in the audience, it becomes tangible - and that is very, very powerful.'

For ABC Family, there is a live stream which can be accessed here, here or here (depending on your region, one may be accessible over the other), and through that, fans can watch the 'The Fosters' season 2 episode 7 live stream online.

There are a lot of fake channels solely for the purpose of luring viewers with ads, but here is how you can avoid any potential hiccups with pop-ups and ads.

--Do not download anything that is suggested.

--For every ad, there is an 'X' button. It is typically in a corner or out of the way so it is hard to see. Sometimes ads try to fool you by giving you a fake 'X' graphic which leads you to an ad. Do not be discouraged when this happens, the real 'X' button is there somewhere.

--Multiple ads will pop and it takes a little bit to clear out each and every ad. Even then, pop-ups will occur as you clear the ads. Do not listen to any of these ads or pop-ups and clear them right away.

--This 'Fosters' season 2 episode 7 live stream will have recurring ads that pop up every once in a while. If this is the only way you can view 'The Fosters' premiere, do not be deterred and the live stream will work once the ads disappear.

Be sure to check out 'The Fosters' tonight on ABC Family at 9:00pm EST.

Well

Albert and Frances Paley. Wendell Castle and Nancy Jurs. Paul and Christine Knoblauch. Leonard and Myung Urso.

Imagine them all in one art show, coordinated by Grant Holcomb, who just retired as director of the Memorial Art Gallery, and his daughter, Maryn.

The idea came from Christine Knoblauch. She approached Rochester councilmember Elaine Spaull, who is deeply involved in Fashion Week of Rochester through her day job as director of the Center for Youth - the event's beneficiary.

The show will be a highlight of Fashion Week, which runs Oct. 15 to 19.

On Thursday, Oct. 16, a runway show featuring local designers and boutiques will take place at the old Merkel Donohue site along Capron Street (near Geva Theatre Center) that is being converted into Woodbury Place. The art show opens the same night in that space, and 40 percent of sales will go to the Center for Youth, Spaull says.

Knoblauch and Spaull approached the artists with the idea, and received a very welcoming response, they say.

'It was humbling to see the caliber of brilliance in Rochester,' Knoblauch says.

Christine Knoblauch(Photo: Provided photo)

The show is called Gallery of Fashion, where 'art and Fashion Week will come together,' says Spaull. Artists will be at the opening on Oct. 16, and the gallery will be available for viewing for at least another week following Fashion Week.

Fittingly, the focus of the gallery show will be on families. In addition to the artist husbands and wives represented, the show will also feature artists and their children who have followed in their footsteps. While some of the artists have had shows with their own family members, rarely have these big-name art families shown their work together.

Christine Knoblauch and husband, Paul, are both metal artists with distinctive styles; Christine's artwork has an organic tilt, while Paul favors contemporary styles. Christine Knoblauch's father, Joseph Ventura, will be showing his stone carvings.

Albert Paley currently has a show in one of the nation's most prestigious venues, the Corcoran Gallery in Washington, D.C. His wife, Frances, an art photographer, will be displaying fashion-themed pieces.

Wendell Castle(Photo: ANNETTE LEIN/@bikebizzle/, staff file photo 2012)

Wendell Castle, the world-famous maker of museum-quality furniture, has a family full of artists. His wife, Nancy Jurs, will showcase her sculptures.

'My sculptures portray messages on many levels, several expressing concern for safety in the world for women, animals, children,' says Jurs, adding that her donations to the community are always from the heart.

Jurs' son, Bryon, also will be in the show.

Glass artist Elizabeth Lyons will be in the show with her parents, Nathan and Joan Lyons. Ceramic artists Stephen Merritt and Bill Stewart will show their works, as will their sons, photographer Jonathan Merritt and Greg Stewart, who creates art installations.

Albert Paley applauded the effort of the arts community to support the Center for Youth, which helps the area's under-served young people.

'The arts - music, visual or performance - support an arena for personalization and enrichment of experience,' Paley says.

Holcomb's daughter, Maryn, is a fashion stylist who returned to Rochester from San Francisco.

'What attracted me to this work is to be able to work with artists in this community,' Grant Holcomb says. He calls Rochester an incredibly culturally rich city, which locals sometimes take for granted. And that goes for fashion, too.

'Fashion is certainly an art form,' he says.

Fashion Week of Rochester

Fashion Week of Rochester is Oct. 15 to 19. Besides the Thursday night runway show at Woodbury Place, which also features the art show opening, Fashion Week will include runway shows Wednesday at the Sibley Building (which will include dogs) and Friday at the downtown library's Rundel Building (with a family theme).

For Saturday, organizers will transform the old Midtown Tunnel, the area where they dropped off deliveries for the now-demolished downtown mall, into an urban chic pop-up venue. Sunday will feature the annual boutique crawl, mainly in the South Wedge, Park Avenue, Brighton and Pittsford. Tickets will be available for sale at area Wegmans beginning in early September and they are $25 for general admission, $50 for seated admission and $100 for VIP seating for all four runway shows.

You Can Buy A Seat At Fashion Week For The Price Of 8 Cars

It should come as no shock that fashion is an expensive business. What else would you expect from an industry that is, at its core, a marriage of art and commerce?

Even so, this one took us by surprise. British Vogue reported recently that the Watermill Center Summer Auction will be offering two front-row seats to some of the biggest shows at Fashion Week, and the bidding starts at - wait for it - $25,000. Not into the bidding game? No problem! There is a 'buy it now' option for a nosebleed-inducing $95,000.

Fashion week is an industry event, and it's crazy to think that it's been blown up so much that someone would be willing to pay nearly a hundred grand for what is, essentially, a day at someone else's job. Maybe it's time the fashion world learned to keep more than just its hemlines in proportion.

If you do have $95,000 to spare, but are wondering whether getting two chairs for a couple of hours is the best way to spend it, the Huffington Post has compiled a list of other things your could buy for $95,000 - including 6,440 movies (3,838 with popcorn) and 39 years of unlimited salad and breadsticks. Now, that might be worth it. ( Huffington Post)

Would you pay $95000 to sit on the front row of a fashion show?

A charity is auctioning front row tickets at Milan fashion week this September for the princely sum of $95,000. Guardian's head of fashion, Imogen Fox, explains what you'd get for your money

Those granted access to the front row at a Prada show usually boast a wardrobe filled with designer samples, a driver and a position at the top of a glossy magazine masthead. It's an invitation that no amount of time on Ticketmaster can supply. But for once, on 26 July, FROW access can be bought. The Watermill Center's Summer Benefit Auction is offering two front row ticket packages for $95,000. The first includes two seats at three top Milan fashion week shows, including Prada, plus a little backstage access. The other is a front row pass to the celebrity-friendly Miu Miu show in Paris which last season boasted a post-Oscar bench filled with Lupita Nyong'o, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto. What kind of experience would that $95,000 really buy you? Here's what the Prada part of the treat might include.

A really lovely ticket

The best thing about fashion shows are the invites. The Prada ticket in particular is often a work of art in itself which gives a vital clue to the new collection. Or not. Either way the receipt of which, in its perspex/foam/weirdly textured envelope, is enough to excite even the most perma-bored fashion editor. That with your name on and Row 1 is what every every fashion fan's mantlepiece craves.

A crush at the entrance

Queues at fashion shows are far from genteel. Even with a front row ticket raised above your head, you'll still have to slide into the slipstream of Suzy Menkes to gain speedy access. It's part of the game.

Not much food

Canapés at fashion shows are rare. Expect no catering at the Armani show. However, Mrs Prada's hostess skills are something to be experienced: once inside the concrete space you'll be greeted with a tray of the strangest of miniature canapés - an anchovy and lemon sandwich bite - and a really strong Aperol-type undrinkable drink in the tiniest tumbler you can imagine.

Not necessarily an eyeful of the A-list

The Prada show doesn't bask in celebrity glory. It doesn't need to. You'll have to settle for an Anna Wintour and a quick bow from Mrs Prada at the end. If you want a brush with Jared Leto, bid for the Miu Miu instead.

Sensory overload. For about 15 minutes

Once inside the Prada venue it's all about focussing on the set and wondering what it might mean for the direction of the clothes. The Spring/Summer show featured a shallow swimming pool and brown carpeted stepped seating within the polished concrete Prada HQ. It's less theatre set, more art installation. No idea how it chimed with the brilliantly normal clothes. Once seated you have ten intense minutes to observe the high pitched seating politics and chatter which defines the pre-show experience. Give yourself bonus points for spotting which previous season Prada collection the other guests are wearing. Once the lights dim and the music starts, you have about ten minutes to take in the clothes. It's sort of the Haute Generation Game. Thankfully you can use your iPhone to remember it.

Fashion Week is not for the faint of heart, and apparently, not for the faint of wallet, either.

Vogue UK reported Thursday that the Watermill Center Summer Auction is offering up two front row seats at some of the biggest shows -- such as Fendi and Prada -- involved in Fashion Week... at a price. Bidding starts at the fashionably large sum of $25,000, with a whopping buy-it-now option of $95,000.

But why stop there? If you're willing to drop a small fortune on essentially a chair (and OK, maybe a chance to rub elbows with Lupita Nyong'o,) you most likely would want to do some other extravagant things, right?

Well fear not, big spenders! We've created a list of a bunch of other things you could buy with $95,000. Because everyone needs eight cars, right?

7,916 manicures (that means pretty much any color you could possibly think of at least five times each. Whoa!)

MRket Shows Spring 2015 Menswear In New York City

(Photo : MRket/ Facebook)

MRket is a menswear tradeshow that has a global reach as it covers a wide array of categories with exhibitors from the United States and abroad. The spring/summer 2015 show just wrapped as it ran from Sunday, July 20 until Tues, July 22 at New York City's Javits Center, and it was a show not to miss.

The beauty of a tradeshow like MRket is its ability to bring such a broad range of exhibitors together under one roof, from clothing to accessories that included cuff links and socks to luggage, fragrances and eyewear.

The fun of attending a men's tradeshow is to be open for the unexpected. Although women's shows often make more news, the men's exhibits should not be underestimated.

For spring/summer 2015, the length of the shorts appears to have come back down to knee length, which will be a relief to men that were not inclined to show off too much of their pins this past season.

One caveat is that although the length may be longer, those that enjoyed the shorter length may fear not as shorts were seen rolled up in a stylish manner.

Black and white are given no matter the season. Pastels were apparent but were not the overwhelming majority.

Green, blue and red appeared to be the dominant colors for this upcoming spring/summer season.

MRket is the only show, according to MRket, in the US to spotlight a Made in Italy section and a UK Design area. A Vanguards Gallery is also featured, which is an incubator for new and emerging brands that is curated specifically for attendees of MRket.

This season's show had a BKLYN Dry Goods pop-up shop that offered an assortment of products for sale within the back of the show space.

MRket brought together attendees from all 50 states and 47 countries.

With tradeshows, the ultimate decision of course is up to the buyer and what he/she chooses to bring into the store.

Were you able to attend MRket for spring/summer 2015? If so, what was your favorite aspect of the tradeshow?

Even if you didn't attend MRket, what trends or styles are you hoping to see for spring/summer 2015?

'Fashion Rocks' To Return To CBS During New York Fashion Week

(Photo : Getty Images/Stephen Lovekin)

'Fashion Rocks' is about to make a major comeback.

The fashion and music TV extravaganza, which last aired in 2008, is slated to return in September. 'Fashion Rocks,' which was founded by former Condé Nast Media Group president and Fairchild CEO Richard Beckman, is slated to air live for the first time during New York Fashion Week on CBS with Ryan Seacrest as the host.

''Fashion Rocks' is the only show that celebrates the inextricable link between fashion and music, a relationship that is more relevant today than ever before,' Beckman said in a statement.

'It will be a spectacular affair featuring some of the world's most talented musicians as well as today's hottest fashions.'

Despite its high rankings, 'Fashion Rocks,' which debuted in the early 2000's, has been on a hiatus since its 2008 show.

'When I started the show in '04, fashion and television didn't quite complement each other quite as well as they do today,' Beckman told Fashionista.

'It's sort of my baby, I always knew I wanted to bring it back.'

Afrojack, Duran Duran, Jennifer Lopez, KISS, Miranda Lambert, Nico & Vinz, Pitbull, Rita Ora, The Band Perry and Usher have all been confirmed to perform at this year's event, which is being produced by Don Mischer and will take place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

'It's a massive, global audience, so you're looking for people who appeal to all genres of music and you don't want to be too narrow,' Beckman said of the performers.

'Basically, you're looking for really top performers across multiple genres who aren't just outstanding performers, but also personify something in the fashion space.'

Be sure to tune into CBS on Sept. 9 to see the revival of 'Fashion Rocks,' or grab tickets to see it in person when they go on sale Aug. 1.

You Could Sit Front Row at Fashion Week for $95K

Great news for anyone who has wanted to get their fashion fix next to the likes of Rihanna and Emma Stone: Front row tickets to some of Fashion Week's biggest shows are up for auction.

Watermill Center Summer Auction has two shiny Fashion Week packages up for grabs this year: For a mere $25,000 (which is the starting bid) you can get two front row tickets to the Fendi, Prada, and Giorgio Armani shows in Milan, or if you're feeling a bit more frugal, for $10,000 you can settle for two front row seats to the Miu Miu show in Paris. Chic.

And if you don't want to chance it (and who would?!), you can simply go big and buy the packages outright for $95,000 and $25,000 respectively. Because why make a down payment on a house when you could shine bright like $95K next to Rihanna?

Mercedes

The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim has come to an end, and now is when everyone is re-capping what they saw, what they loved, what they didn't love and (most importantly) what they absolutely need in their bikini closet. The key word to describe this year's event is BOLD: bold silhouettes, bold patterns and colors and high waists. Even the more bohemian or classic swimwear lines were exploring the idea of swimwear as a true fashion statement, and veering away from the simple shapes we have all seen before.

The husband and wife design-team of We Are Handsome spoke exclusively with Haute Living and gave us some insight on their 2015 line, which they say is 'inspired by our travels and experiences [that] we have in different corners of the world.' The line is 'confident, fun and adventurous' and is made with every woman in mind. When asked how they settle creative differences, We Are Handsome told HL: 'We have never had a difference to date! We have a very similar styles and tastes. Though generally Jeremy has the final say on print creative and I have the final say on the styles.'

California beauty and designer of Frankie's Bikinis Francesca Aiello is- at only 19 years old- the youngest designer to present at MBFW Swim. Aiello, in an effort to 'make suits for every girl,' finds inspiration from the girls she sees at the beach. The line incorporates low-cut bottoms, bohemian prints, and revealing crochet designs that are essential for the young, beach-chic lifestyle.

To no surprise, Maaji filled the runway with bright colors and loud patterns. The line has perfected blending prints to create amazing reversible pieces. This season, yellow and purple dominated the runway, which is only fitting considering the collection is called 'Royal Riders'.

Mara Hoffman did what she does best- vibrant prints. This season, she experimented with shapes from long sleeve and criss-cross tops, to cut-out one pieces, to high-waisted bottoms.

Suboo spoke exclusively with Haute Living and shared that their latest collection is inspired by modern dance and focuses on 'luxe fabrications paired with flattering silhouettes...Our goal is always to make sure we are taking each collection to a new level while maintaining wearability. When asked how their quick rise to popularity has effected the brand, Suboo tells HL'I think we filled a niche in the market for attainable but chic resortwear. Moving forward each season, it's about making sure that we continue to evolve while staying true to our brand identity.' From one pieces to bikinis, Suboo has created a fun line that remains true to it's mature and luxurious roots.

The Minimale Animale show was the place to be on Day 5 of Swim Week. The entire crowd was in awe as the brand put on a presentation like no other- provocative and daring, where models paired helmets and combat boots with cutting-edge, sleek suits that add a modern twist to our old swimwear ideals.

Notable guests included Michael Bay, Marysol Patton, Maria Menounos, Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine, among many acclaimed designers and socialites.

Fashion Week Goes Under The Hammer

DO you like the sound of joining Rihanna on the Miu Miu front row come September Fashion Week? Well now you can, although you will have to dig deep.

Watermill Center Summer Auction is selling off two Fashion-Week packages to help fund its Hamptons gallery where artists can exhibit for free: two front-row tickets to the Fendi, Prada and Giorgio Armani shows in Milan (including backstage access at Fendi) for a starting bid of $25,000; and two front-row tickets to the Miu Miu show in Paris for a starting bid of $10,000.

For those of you that don't want to wait fear not, as there are 'buy it now' options too - $95,000 for the Milan package and $25,000 for the Miu Miu show. Our advice if you do place a bid? Make sure that you budget to have a little left over, so that you can actually wear what you've seen next season.

North Palm Beach may be next community to ban sale of dogs and cats in pet ...

By Bill DiPaolo

North Palm Beach may be the next community to ban the sale of dogs and cats in pet stores in an effort to prevent customers from buying their pets from puppy mills.

If approved by the village council at today's 7:30 p.m. meeting, pet stores would be prohibited from selling dogs and cats. There are no pet shops in the village that sell dogs and cats.

'With all the other communities prohibiting the sales of dogs and cats, we don't want those pet shops coming here,' said Village Manager Jim Kelly, who owns a dog.

Palm Beach Gardens, Wellington and Greenacres are three communities that have passed similar ordinances banning the sale of cats and dogs in pet shops.

Animal groups say puppy mills - large breeding operations that raise and sell animals in substandard care - contribute to pet overpopulation and often place profits over the well-being of the dogs, many of whom get sick in unsanitary environments. Some health problems associated with puppy mill dogs include heart disease, kidney disease, epilepsy and respiratory disorders.

Shop owners counter that they take good care of the animals before they are sold and buy only from certified animal breeders.

If approved Thursday on first reading, final reading would be Aug. 7.

Fashion East's Spring 2015 Line

(Photo : British Vogue/ Twitter)

Fashion East, which works to support young designers, has announced the three individuals that will be showing their spring 2015 collection during London Fashion Week in September.

According to Style.com, 'whimsical maximalist Edward Marler, a Central Saint Martins grad who already counts Katie Grand and M.I.A. as fans will join returning talents Helen Lawrence and Louise Alsop.'

'Our lineup represents the ideas, energy, and boldness of the London scene right now,' stated Lulu Kennedy, director of Fashion East, to Style.com.

'Each designer feels totally relevant and on message.'

Kennedy spoke to British Vogue about the new addition to the lineup, Marler.

'Ed is great! I like his vision and how he puts things together so confidently. He's a very fun, new addition to our brilliant girls Louise Alsop and Helen Lawrence who made strong debuts last season. I'm looking forward to September's show.'

In June, the menswear presentations arrived in London, which Kennedy spoke to Style.com about.

'We love putting on the presentations- everything from curating the mix of talented designers, both brand new and established, to watching guests explore the venue.'

The spring 2015 menswear presentation included the following individuals: jewelry designer Alan Crocetti, textile specialist Edward Crutchley, Fashion East womenswear alums Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida of Marques' Almeida and special guest Martine Rose.

Kennedy noted, 'The way the designers show off their work is always highly creative and individual. You get a real sense of their 'worlds,' and unlike a catwalk show, they can be front-of-house, chatting to journalists and buyers and enjoying the atmosphere- which is always party-like!'

The real beauty of Fashion East is that it is a non-profit program that was established by the Old Truman Brewery in 2000 with a goal to 'nurture emerging young designers through the difficult early stages of their career,' according to Fashion East.

Prints On Prints On Prints: The Best Patterned Swimsuits From Mercedes

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: Swim just wrapped this week, and it was all about prints on prints on prints. From wild animal prints to psychedelic retro ones, the runway was decked out in eye-catching and jaw-dropping swimsuits. Some failed to meet expectations, but others met all that and more.

Get your summer body workout on and check out some of the designers who succeeded with flying colors, and take note on which prints will inspire your beach style next season.

For the most part, everyone was talking about Mara Hoffman's swimwear. The designer honed in on her hippie vibes to come up with a psychedelic collection that exploded with retro prints. Using a lot of purples, pinks, and neons, the designer created one-pieces and bikinis with patterns that sort of resembled kaleidoscopes.

Maaji Swimwear was another designer that rocked the runway with some amazing prints. A little less intense than Hoffman's collection, the designer created ready-to-wear swimsuits that mixed various prints, including polka dots and floral. Similar to Hoffman, the collection shared influences from kaleidoscopes.

It wasn't all clashing prints that made us do a double take. The Belusso swim collection combined shimmering metallic prints and abstract water-color art in the line. The result was a little far out, but stunning for a glamorous day on the beach.

The final collection that grabbed some attention was Shore Road. The collection took inspiration from boho chic and combined a series of florals and Aztec patterns with bold black and solid colors. While it still catches the eye, the collection was slightly more tamed than others, but still looked flawless coming down the runway.
