'The Middle', the highly acclaimed sitcom on ABC Network, will return for Season 6 on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 8/7C.
Commended for its pragmatic take on the middle class, 'The Middle' features the acts of Patricia Heaton in the role of Frances 'Frankie' Heck. In addition, the show stars Neil Flynn as Michael 'Mike' Heck, Charlie McDermott as Axl Redford Heck, Atticus Shaffer as Brick Heck, Eden Sher as Sue Sue Heck, and Frankie's bestfriend Bob (Chris Kattan).
According to the episode guide posted on show's website, the premiere episode of 'The Middle' Season 6 has been titled 'Unbraceable You.' The site has also released a short synopsis of Episode 1.
The synopsis reads, 'Frankie makes a giant blunder when she discovers that school started a week earlier than she thought, and Sue and Brick must scramble to catch up on the days they've missed and re-acclimate themselves to school life.'
The summary continues, 'Meanwhile, it looks like the 'Year of Sue' might be starting off on a high when she finally gets her braces removed. Axl beats Mike at basketball for the first time in his life, and Brick gets creative in an attempt to find the perfect school book bag.'
The site also revealed the names for the guest stars in Episode 1, which are Richard Kind in the role of Dr. Niller, John Gammon as Darrin, Jen Ray as Nancy Donahue, and some others.
'The Middle', which is often compared to the popular show 'Modern Family', is set in a small imaginary town of Orson, Indiana. Often, fans of the show are amused with the way in which the Heck family is always struggling to stretch every last dollar they have, mirroring the lives of many American families.
