If you haven't heard of Jamie Dornan by now - one question: where have you been hiding? Not only did he date Keira Knightley for a couple of years way back in 2003 (he's now married - sob), Jamie Dornan, a.k.a. Christian Grey in the forthcoming 50 Shades of Grey movie franchise, actor, model, and musician is 2013's hottest man. And he's not going anywhere.
With a brand-spanking-new campaign as the face of Ermenegildo Zegna's Spring Summer 2014 campaign, the Northern Irish fella will (hopefully) be all over our magazines and screens in the coming months. The campaign, which was shot by Inez and Vinoodh, is titled Eminences Grises, literally translates to 'powerful, behind-the-scenes decision makers', implying that his dominant role in 50 shades plays a big part in the campaign's mood.
Designer Stefano Pilati explains: 'Jamie was our face of choice, not only because he is an accomplished actor, but also an unconventional model with a strong personal sense of style and substance. He has made understatement the key to his success.'
With previous campaigns for Calvin Klein in which he appears oily and nearly naked (yes, really), and with semi-naked Kate moss, the grey suit he sports in this campaign is not quite as visually pleasing. Luckily, it does confirm he's the right man for the 50 Shades job and we can't wait to see him in action!
