We Just Can't Wait for This Spring Trend, So We're Making It Winter

It was fashion love at first sight. When I first saw this Mary Katrantzou dress in person, with its 3-D prints and patterns and tactile ruffle embellishment, I just couldn't wait for spring to come. But just it's November, that doesn't mean we can't get started on a cool spring trend...we jut have to winterize it, right? Right.

Though perhaps they're not the most practical outfits for the real world (but never fear: designers will adapt the trend to be more wearable by the time spring rolls around!), enjoy a few truly artistic creations to inspire you and start your week off right.

Let's start off with Mary Katrantzou, who created volume with structured silk and intricate 3-D embellishments. Each piece is its own work of art!

Though not in the market with full force yet, see a few 3-D embellished picks below and let us know how you would wear the trend!

Speaking of works of art, Prada accented painterly dresses and coats with jewels and beading in bright colors and patterns.

In perhaps the most wearable of the embellished trend, Marni covered pieces in soft rosettes to create a more textured look. I couldn't help but be reminded of Patricia Field's awesome (and custom) Member's Only jacket from the Sex and the City movie!
