Memphis Fashion Week: Throwback Thursday and What's Ahead

Tonight is Memphis Fashion Week's Madewell Fashion Fund Party, perfect for getting in the fabulous mood for this weekend's MFW events!

From Memphis Fashion Week's site: 'Madewell Saddle Creek is hosting a fundraising event for the Memphis Fashion Fund! Stop by for drinks, snacks, and shopping for a cause. Enjoy 20% off sales of $125+. 10% of sales will go towards the Memphis Fashion Fund. The Memphis Fashion Fund is a grant program created to support and cultivate local designers and artists in the fashion industry. The Memphis Fashion Fund is responsible for the Emerging Memphis Designer Project and works with local organizations to create opportunities and training for these designers.' Madewell in the Shops of Saddle Creek, from 6:00pm - 9:00pm this evening, March 27th.

In anticipation for this fundraiser and all of the 2014 MFW events, we present for Throwback Thursday a few snapshots from last year's fun-tastic happenings:

KickOff party at Alchemy featuring Mo's Bows: Mo is a bowtie designer who learned how to sow from his grandmother. He is inspired by Ralph Lauren who started his own fashion empire by designing ties. Mo is innovative, incredibly focused and creative ...and he was only 11 at last year's event.

Models I styled with designs by Emerging Designers during the KickOff Party at Alchemy.

Me and my gal, Necha Dickinson, at Night 2 of MFW: Runway show at Memphis College of Art. Hair by Necha and makeup by Kendrick Simpson.

Fashion Editor Front Row View Night 1 at The Columns.

These two crew mates, Mimi Danosky and Mary Seay Taylor, also happen to be wunder ladies and co creative forces of Brave Design. Their addictive bling was featured in Night 2's VIP Lounge at Memphis College of Art.

Whew, how long ago it seems! Looking forward to seeing you all as we enjoy this year's MFW events: click here to see the full lineup with ticket info!
