These items contribute to what Belk Vice President of Trend Merchandising & Fashion Direction, Arlene Goldstein, calls a 'feminine charm' look.
Goldstein also notes that color-blocking and bright whites with pales are a must-have for spring. 'Don't wait for Memorial Day to break out the white - toss that rule out the window,' she said.
When heralding the new season, you don't have to spring clean your closet and start from scratch. Many pieces can be reinvented with a just a few alterations. Use your favorite black or white blouse as a building block, then add in seasonal trends for a fashion-forward look that works as hard as you do.
With many of the new styles, adaptability is key - play to your strengths and body type. If you think that one particular style doesn't look good on you, then it probably doesn't.
