Family Speaks, After Man Allegedly Shoots Woman Then Himself

WEST COLUMBUS (James Jackson) -- A family mourns the loss of a man suspected of killing his estranged wife's friend and then turning the gun on himself Christmas Day.It's been an emotional holiday for Phillip Loschiavo's family. His cousin, Crysha Fugate, says the tragedy is something she never expected. 'When they aired his news and we found out it was him and everything, it tore our family to pieces,' Fugate said.Investigators believe Loschiavo shot Teresa Bickley several times, point blank, in a parking lot near Hocking Mall, Wednesday evening. Police say Loschiavo then shot himself in the head. ABC 6/FOX 28 is told they met to exchange paperwork for the couple's separation. Fugate admits her cousin made a mistake.. but says Bickley caused the relationship problems. 'He felt that Teresa Bickley was interfering in his marriage. They were hooking up. It's been said on Facebook. Other people had told Teresa Bickley to stay out of the marital problems,' Fugate said.Bickley died from the shooting. Loschiavo passed away last night in the hospital. Now, two families deal with the loss of loved ones. 'Our hearts, our prayers, everything goes to that family. The Bickley family. But, they're bashing his family and saying that he had a right to die. Yes he killed her, but he killed himself as well,' Fugate said. The couple's two young children were also there during the shooting, but investigators don't know if they saw the violence. Fugate tells us Loschiavo leaves behind five children, all coping in their own way with a heartbreaking Christmas Day.Fugate also says Loschiavo told her his wife was the only woman he ever loved and he couldn't live without her. The state crime lab is helping with the investigation.
