The organisers of Highlands Fashion Week have unveiled a new-look to a Harris Tweed cape made famous by Sherlock Holmes.
The Inverness Cape has been associated with the sleuth since the 1890s when illustrated stories about the detective appeared in The Strand magazine.
Various TV and film incarnations of author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's character have donned the cape.
The revamped cape was produced by Scottish designer Elaine Mackenzie.
Raised on the Isle of Lewis and now based in London, the designer works with Harris Tweed.
The cape was modelled by Lydia Francis at the week-long fashion show in Inverness.
According to The Sherlock Holmes Society of London, it was Finchley-based artist Sidney Paget who gave the detective his 'now iconic image' - the 'hawk-like features, deerstalker cap and Inverness cape'.
Paget produced 201 Sherlock Holmes illustrations between 1891 and 1893 and a further 155 between 1901 and 1904.
Decades later, actors Douglas Wilmer and Tom Baker have been among those to wear an Inverness cape in television adaptations of the Sherlock Holmes stories.
