Karlie Kloss Stars In Jason Wu's Spring 2015 Campaign

Jason Wu has snagged model Karlie Kloss to front his spring 2015 campaign. The images were shot at the Grand Central Oyster Bar.

'It was really kind of serendipitous,' Wu told Style.com at his Garment District studio.

'After the spring show, Inez came up to me and said it should be Karlie. She stole the show in this black shirtdress, and she's one of my dearest friends. The collection was really about all-American beauty, and she is the essence of that in every way.'

Images from the campaign capture the designer's sharp attention to detail and feature luxurious clothes, dramatic interiors, and buckets of shellfish. In one ad, the model is shown reclined in a red glittering dress alongside lobsters and plates of key lime pie.

'You get the sense that it's really capturing a moment in time,' Wu told Style.com.

'It wasn't super-staged. We did minimal lighting, and everything just took a few shots since I've done so many photos with Karlie. You can just tell in the pictures that we're great friends.'

Since spring 2013, Wu has utilized his popular Supermodel Supper Club theme for campaign images. Past models, including Christy Turlington and Stephanie Seymore, have been shot posing at iconic New York restaurants.

For fall 2014, Adriana Lima stood on a table at the Four Seasons in an emerald-green gown that 'oozed power and sex appeal,' according to Style.com.

Kloss will star in Wu's last Supermodel Supper Club campaign collection.

'We liked the idea of the number five,' he said.

'The look we established will continue, but stopping now just felt right. Karlie and I have watched each other grow and develop, so it's a great time for the final installment.'

One thing will definitely be missed about the Supermodel Supper Club, according to Wu.

'After the shoot, we all ate lobster rolls and clam chowder. You kind of have to!'
