Jessica Alba may have just hit all the spring trends in one simple outfit. Muted palette? Check. Metallics? Check. Pleats? Check. Crop top? Check. Mixed patterns? Check. And the best part is it only took her three items to complete the fashion-forward look. The actress (and street style icon, if we do say so ourselves) wore the surprisingly modest outfit to the opening of Tory Burch's Rodeo Drive Flagship on Tuesday.
If crop tops intimidate you, try balancing with a high-waist skirt, so you're not showing too much skin, and one that protrudes into a flattering A-line silhouette. Also, select a top that is slightly long and loose, so you don't feel too on display. If you're new to mixing patterns and not sure where to start, consider one print that is subtle, such as Alba's creamy stripes. She accessorized flawlessly with white pumps (her friends Brooklyn Decker and Hailee Steinfeld got the memo on pointed flats), a box clutch and minimal jewelry (we're loving the chunky pearl studs), just like her look featured in last week's Fashion Trend Report.
