When Hunter revealed plans to show for the first time on the London Fashion Week schedule in February it reminded us that we're not really that far away from festival season in the scheme of things. Really it's only a hop, skip and three months until Coachella in April and then it doesn't take long until everyone's in the swing of strutting their stuff in cut-off denim shorts, pitching floral tents and sloshing around in the mud in a pair of trusty wellington boots.
This week the brand unveiled its spring / summer 2014 campaign titled 'Another Wet Summer', but before you start feeling glum about the possibility of a washout summer, the water in the ads by photographer Viviane Sassen comes courtesy of a hosepipe rather than a grey cloud. British models Charlotte Wiggins and Stephanie Hall and newcomer Matthew Holt star in the campaign, which showcases the first spring / summer collection from the brand's Creative Director Alasdhair Willis, who you may also know as designer Stella McCartney's hubby. It was shot at Montacute House in Somerset and Kiftsgate Manor in Gloucestershire, against a picturesque English backdrop of rolling topiary.
Hunter's arrival on the London Fashion Week scene will introduce the Original Nightfall, a new twist on the iconic Hunter Original boot, which was first seen in 1956. The brand is also set too building on its core footwear collection and expand its heritage range including outerwear, knitwear and accessories.
