Pair of Pomeranian puppies snatched from owner's home by armed couple

The OPP is investigating the theft of two puppies by armed suspects.

A man and a woman went to a house on Norwich Road in Brant County just after 4 p.m. Friday in response to an online ad listing Pomeranian puppies for sale.

They were looking at the dogs when they pulled out an 'edged weapon' and assaulted the homeowner, causing minor injuries.

The suspects took the puppies, which are eight to 10 weeks old with cream-coloured fur, and ran to a vehicle parked on the road.

The man is in his 20s, about fivefoot-five with a stocky build, olive or light brown skin, a round f ace, dark brown hair and brown eyes. He wore dark brown clothing.

The woman is white, about fivefoot-four with a slim build, slim face and long blond hair. She wore a yellow top, dark pants and dark boots. They fled in a white, older model vehicle.
