Aloha Sailor Items to Buy at HONOLULU Fashion Week

Snag these casual pieces at the artsy Pop-Up Boutique.

Three days to go until HONOLULU Fashion Week. The runway is being built as we speak, there are models everywhere we look and we are up to our ears in swag for the Pop-Up Boutique.

Speaking of which, here are four more pieces by Aloha Sailor we're jonesing to scoop up this weekend. We love this brand's casual feel and nautical themes-a perfect accompaniment to the no-fuss Island lifestyle. We love the chipper-chic aloha-print hats and breezy tanks. Plus, you'll find designs exclusive to HONOLULU Fashion Week, like this cool double-exposure 'Say Aloha' tee. It will all be part of the big Pop-Up Boutique picture.

And when we say 'big picture,' we mean it. The boutique is not your ordinary store. In fact, it's more like an art installation. Designed by local artists John Koga and Lawrence Seward, the boutique is anchored by the massive Volcano painting by legendary artist Tadashi Sato. Inspired by Sato's piece, Koga and Seward created huge Lucite and plastic flowers. Stretching out of lava-rock-black blocks, the flowers are a stunning representation of the beauty that Hawai'i's unique environment begets. How perfect is that for housing the slew of gorgeous local creations that will be on sale at the boutique?

Talk about fine art.

$25-$35. The Pop-Up Boutique will be open Friday, 1-9 p.m., Saturday, noon-9 p.m. and Sunday, noon-4 p.m. at the Hawai'i Convention Center.
