TNT Cancels 'Perception' And ABC Family Announces Winter Premiere Dates ...


We have more TV news for you this week! TNT has officially canceled another show, Perception, while ABC Family announced its winter premiere dates. Plus, Pretty Little Liars' star Lucy Hale talks Aria's possible link to 'A' as the winter premiere gets closer.

Earlier this week TNT canceled Franklin & Bash and now another series has been cut. After receiving a new network president ( Kevin Reilly) Perception is the second series to be canceled. According to , 'While down 9% from Season 2, Perception still drew a very respectable 2.8 million viewers in Live+Same Day for the summer portion of the current third season, which resumes in February.'


'Perception opened its fourth season with 3.1 million viewers vs. 1.25 million for the opener of Franklin & Bash's most recent fourth season.'


Perception follows Dr. Daniel Pierce (played by Eric McCormack), who is a neuropsychiatrist that uses his unique perception of the world to help solve federal cases. The series also stars Rachael Leigh Cook as Kate Moretti and Kelly Rowan as Natalie Vincent. Season three of the series will return in February 2015 for the second half of the now-final season.



While TNT is canceling some of its series, ABC Family is announcing its winter premiere dates. According to , Pretty Little Liars will return on Jan. 6 as will season four of Switched at Birth. Both Melissa & Joey and will return to ABC Family on Jan. 14. The Fosters will return on Jan. 19 followed by Chasing Life, which was just renewed for a second season.


In addition to its winter premiere, Baby Daddy will have a holiday episode on Dec. 10. Plus, Pretty Little Liars will have its own Christmas special, which is a first for the drama. It will air on Dec. 9.


In preparation for the PLL Christmas special, actress Lucy Hale revealed how great it would be to have her character Aria turn out to be 'A.' 'I would love that,' she revealed. 'I think that as an actor everyone wants to play the bad guy so, whatever, it would be fun!' Lucy told Entertainment Tonight.


'This isn't coming from the writers or anyone that would have say in it,' she said. 'But a lot of people think it might be one of the girls or one of the parents.'
