Since 2009, Full Figured Fashion Week® (FFFWeek) has celebrated and empowered plus size women by hosting a series of events that cater to the varying interests, needs and desires of plus size women. When the FFFWeek® team announced the end of an era with 'The Finale' in 2014, plus size women and supporters traveled across the globe to say farewell and to support the mission of Full Figured Fashion Week®, the way that the event supported us their inaugural event.
The Rebirth
A few days ago, DeVoe Signature Events gave supporters an early Christmas gift when they announced that FFFWeek® would return for the seventh year in 2015. The celebratory sighs of relief were felt throughout the plus size community.
According to the official press release, the 2015 event will combine past elements of the event with new additions.
Attendees can look forward to a new presenting sponsor and an extra day of festivities, which will include more fashion shows, updated versions of signature events, an increased focus on entrepreneurship and the business of fashion, and the addition of a competition for young designers to encourage and develop students of fashion design as they grow into the industry.Gwen DeVoe seeks to 'empower women in all aspects of fashion. The 2015 event will focus more on providing increased educational opportunities for businesses and creating positions off the runway for models and upcoming designers.'
The 2014 event may have been promoted as 'The Finale,' but in 2015 it's all about #TheRebirthofFFFWeek.
The Countdown Begins
The countdown begins as the FFFWeek® Casting Team goes on the road again to scout the fiercest catwalk divas across the country. The highly anticipated 2015 Casting Tour kicks off January 10th in New Orleans, LA, and will travel to the following cities:
