Dallas sophisticates invade Lublu for sensational spring fashion party

To usher in a new shopping season, Dallas-by-way-of-Russia designer Kira Plastinina opened the doors to her flagship boutique at the Plaza at Preston Center to debut her spring/summer 2014 collection.

Guests - including co-hosts Jessica Nowitzki and Anna-Sophia van Zweden, Aaltje van Zweden, Joyce Goss, Kary Brittingham, Brooke Hortenstine, Lynsey Eaton, and Nancy Kerr - sipped on champagne and nibbled on macarons from Oak pastry chef Lucia Merino while previewing the latest collection. Because is there any other way to shop?

Plastinina's clothing is traditionally feminine yet daring. She says this new collection is enhanced by a theme of mystical garden in a digital world. Imagine pixelized prints, computerized interpretations and digital designs that stem from the designer's renewed interest in folklore and storytelling.

'The collection embodies a contemporary and digital world, similar to the contemporary and digital personality of Dallas,' she said. 'All the prints and fabrications are perfect for my Dallas ladies and their many spring events and nights out on the town.'

This is also Lublu's first season to launch a pre-collection, along with the primary collection. The pre-collection will be available to buyers in July, with delivery to stores in December, and includes an assortment of evening dresses comprising eight red carpet and cocktail pieces.
