Paris Fashion Week begins today. And while the fashion set may be feeling the lag of the final leg of shows, the City of Light is geared up to stimulate and pamper wary showgoers when they're off duty. Here, a guide to surviving (and enjoying) the festivities.

The Beauty Spot: Aesop At Aesop's newest Rive Gauche boutique, the spare interiors let the cult-favorite products shine. Face washes and lotions are shelved along the length of the space in a custom-made unit, with three sinks and two vintage mirrors accessible for easy product sampling. The One-Stop Culture Shop: Düo This glass-walled hybrid gallery/shop/cafe space is situated on the corner of Rue du Marché Popincourt, just off the hip artery of Rue Oberkampf. The rotating gallery hosts solo and group shows of emerging photographers selected by independent curators. Their wares focus on contemporary photography books, out-of-print titles, self-published 'zines, international mags and unique prints. And the cafe, a small but cheery affair in the next room, is open for lunch, tea and evening apéros, and offers a French-Japanese dinner menu paired with a thoughtful list of natural wines. 24, rue du Marché Popincourt, 75011; journal.duolovesyou.com.
