Lessons in Layering: 6 Fabulous Spring Outfit Ideas From Fashion Week Australia

Even though it's technically fall over in the land down under, street style from Fashion Week Australia still provides us with an abundance of fabulous spring outfit ideas. (Besides, it looks way sunnier and warmer over in Sydney anyway.) So while we're still suffering through a somewhat chilly spring over Stateside, here are a few layering ideas to help us through.

Elle Ferguson mixes business with boho by throwing a Balmain blazer over her peasant shirtdress and accessorizing with a structured Celine top-handle bag. Her Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots keep her legs from looking too overexposed (while looking hawt in the process). Tash Sefton keeps her double denim chic by tucking a button-down into a faded, distressed knee-length skirt and throwing a classic camel Scanlan Theodore coat over her shoulders. Her ChloƩ cap-toe shoes finish off the preppy fashion editor look.

Blogger and stylist Margaret Zhang counterbalances a color-blocked, mermaid-silhouette midi-dress with an oversize boyfriend moto-vest.

Dasha Gold pairs a leather crop top by Blessed are the Meek with a white midi-skirt by Lauren Dameilian. She brings in color and texture with a printed bomber by Black by Deng, a perforated bag, and yellow strappy sandals from Peep Toe Shoes. Cute!

Alice Cow dresses up her graphic LeRoy Neiman t-shirt by knotting the front to create proportion (and show a little midriff) and paring it with a split-front cobalt blue skirt from Topshop. Her leopard print clutch by Bardot, Valley Eyewear shades, and see-through cut-out sandals by Wittner make for lively, eclectic accents.

Blogger Rei Shito skillfully mixes prints by sticking with a consistent color palette. She finishes off the sporty look (and stays comfy) with a pair of gym sneakers.
