Syracuse Fashion Week begins with gala opening at the Landmark: GET OUT


The 2014 Syracuse Fashion Week will host four events in four days to benefit the Food Bank of Central New York. Each event will feature a runway fashion show, vendors, entertainment, local food and beverages and CNY designers.


Syracuse Fashion Week begins tonight with a gala opening at the Landmark Theatre. Kirsten Tagtmeyer and the E.S.P. Jazz Trio will perform live.


The gala features a cash bar, hors d'oeuvres from Tops Markets and Smoke Inc. BBQ, food from Empire Brewing Co., chocolates from Sweet On Chocolate, vendors from Syracuse area boutiques and an after party at the Landmark from 9-11 p.m.


Farah Jadran, Niko Tamurian, Lisa Butler will emcee the 7:30 p.m. runway show featuring Michele DaRin, Inspired Designs, Showoffs, The Mr. Shop, Bounce, Frankie & Faye, Elsbeth Rose, Size Fabulous, Corii Esha, Oil City Customs, lululemon, Fleet Feet, The Changing Room, Spybaby and Dougherty's.


Kathleen Stress, executive director of the Food Bank of CNY, will speak at the event.
