Foreign designers open 16th Miami Fashion Week

The first day of the 16th edition of Latin American fashion revelry Miami Fashion Week (MFW) witnessed an array of exquisite collections from some extremely creative foreign talents.

Venezuelan fashion designer Nicolas Felizola showcased two clothing ranges, men's innerwear and women's resortwear, on the opening night. Replete with silhouette enhancing lines and cuts, the male undergarment collection Felizola Under World was made from comfy cotton, nylon and spandex materials. Inspired from feminine beauty, elegance and silhouettes, the vibrantly hued womenswear range was made from 100 percent natural fabrics like silk and chiffon.

Spanish fashion brand Custo Barcelona, owned by the internationally acclaimed Catalan designer Custo Dalmau, presented a white, blue, fuchsia and rose shaded summery line entitled Custo universe. The label's winter presentation, which included glossy textured cotton, silk, linen and wool crafted ensembles, was based on sombre hues of beige, gray and black.

In addition to the above mentioned designers, another foreign talent named Fabrizio de Castro, from the Latin American nation of Colombia, also displayed his latest line at the event, going on in Miami.

Slated to run till May 18, 2014, the ongoing edition of MFW features an interesting line up of around 37 designers, belonging to Miami, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Panama as well as some Asian and European countries.
