Hillary Clinton's Book Excerpt, Weird Face Tapping Diet, Fashion Week Amidst ...

Everyone else on in the internet was doing it, and Hillary Clinton also chose Mother's Day as the theme for a new excerpt of her upcoming book. Vogue published the exclusive extract yesterday, which details the life and death of Hillary's mother Dorothy Howell Rodham.

When I became Secretary of State, Mom was just about to turn 90,' she writes. 'She had been living with us in Washington for the past few years, ever since being alone in her apartment overlooking the zoo on Connecticut Avenue became too much. Like so many Americans of my generation, I felt both blessed to have these extra years with an aging parent and very responsible for making sure she was comfortable and well cared for.

The book, which is due to be released June 10, comes as Hillary is considering whether to go for the presidency again. It will be filled with 'candid reflections about key moments during her time as secretary of State as well as her thoughts about how to navigate the challenges of the 21st century,' as well as observations about her mother's love for Mexican food, mystery novels, and Dancing With the Stars.
