Kevin Murphy will be the Hair Director at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week for the eleventh straight year, overseeing the styling each and every hair look in the show that runs from the 29th of August to 7th of September. The event includes runway shows, workshops, parties, exhibitions and fashion films to delight the city's fashion obsessed.
The shows will feature some of the world's biggest brands, with Michael Lo Sordo, Manning Cartell, Arthur Galon, Yeojin Bae and Gorman all putting on a runway show. Australian model Ashley Hart has been announced as the event's ambassador.
'It's such a pleasure to be back in my hometown to celebrate Australian fashion and beauty,' said Murphy. 'I can't wait to show Melbourne and its international and interstate guests what the KEVIN.MURPHY team will be showing this season to bring the designer's vision to life.'

Murphy will show off his versatility in styling all of the diverse runway shows, a skill he has learnt over decades in the industry as a celebrity and editorial stylist with an extensive product range under his name. Together with his team of session stylists, Murphy will use the platform to showcase the latest Spring hair trends on the catwalk. The event will also feature a KEVIN.MURPHY STYLE.BAR, where stylists will consult attendees on their hair care issues and provide them the perfect products to suit these needs.
'Spring is a time when you can really be creative with hair and I will be crafting looks that really push the boundaries and celebrate the warmth and energy of the new season,' Murphy said. 'I'll be playing with cuts, textures and colour to create stand-out looks that will inspire Fashion Week-goers for the season ahead.'
