VFiles Announces Spring 2015 Designer Line

VFiles has announced the four designers that will be featured in their spring 2015 show.

Those selected, include: Moscow-based Tigran Avetisyan of men's wear label Tigran, Tokyo-based Detto Kazuma of men's wear label DTTK, New York-based Hygein Hamm of the denim label Hamm, and London-based Dasha Selyanova of women's wear label ZDDZ, as Style.com reported.

'Pay attention! Power to the fashion people- VFiles is a movement,' stated Julie Anne Quay, founder of the digital fashion and cultural hub, to Style.com.

'The Internet fashion generation is here to stay, the barriers to entry are disappearing, and becoming your own brand is more accessible and possible than ever.'

Additionally, Quay commented to Style.com that more and more individual are entering the competition after seeing the previous designers' successful outcomes.

Some of the success may be attributed to the fact that merchandise from each of the designers' collections will be available for purchase immediately at the VFiles shop in Soho. There, as Style.com pointed out, they will be in the company of labels such as Craig Green and Hood by Air.

Judges and also mentors for this season's show, include: Calvin Klein's Italo Zucchelli, Candy Pratts Price and stylist Mel Ottenberg.

As Style.com pointed out, last season's VFiles runway labels, included: ASSK, Hyein Seo and Melitta Baumeister. They earned their chance to show their collection via an online competition.

At the times, those labels 'went into the show without much of a presence on the global fashion scene.'

After the show, retailers such as Dover Street Market and celebrity clients like Rihanna tapped the labels VFiles debuted on their runway.

VFiles' spring 2015 show will be held on September 3 at Webster Hall in New York.
