What do you listen to the day before a show?

Since we are together around the clock the day before a show, it is important that we are all on the same page about the studio soundtrack. From morning until evening, [we need] the perfect balance of upbeat energy to keep us going and chill enough to maintain a relatively calm, focused atmosphere. Phoenix , Blood Orange , King Krule , Sky Ferreira , and Lana Del Rey have often populated the track list. Power chords.

The night before a show?
Into the wee hours the playlist can get progressively more electronic in order to stay awake. Cut Copy , Daft Punk , RAC , Viceroy , Big Black Delta, Purity Ring , Grimes , Charli XCX and Disclosure . Since we have become more organized, early starters in our design process, we have pulled fewer all-nighters which means we can cut the music off at a decent early morning hour and be well-rested for the following big day.

The day of a show?
Emo ballads and local rock. Perfume Genius to mellow the nervous energy and the Strokes to get back to our NYC rock roots. We actually collaborated with their bassist on a small Spring capsule collection at the beginning of the TW brand. Everything about the Strokes makes us happy and proud to be from NYC. That attitude is key to our successful navigation of NYFW.

And after the show?
Always feel-good bittersweet celebratory -- no matter what the outcome. We have put our best foot forward and have worked around the clock for 8 weeks straight on the new collection, so emotions are high. Jay Z , Iggy Azalea , Future Islands , Robyn , Beyonce, New Order , and Passion Pit have all made the rounds for our afterparties.
