Aspiring Cara Delevingnes of Arizona, don't sleep through this one.

Phoenix Fashion Week will introduce 2014's crop of 40 emerging models during an announcement party at INTL Scottsdale on Thursday, July 10.

Each year as part of its emerging model program, Phoenix Fashion Week takes on a group of fresh-faced models who get makeovers and compete in challenges à la America's Next Top Model for a chance to win a modeling contract with The Agency Arizona.

And it's not unheard of for up-and-coming models who take to the Phoenix Fashion Week runway to make it big. Phoenix Fashion Week alum Brittany Brown went on to compete on Cycle 19 of ANTM. Her younger sister, Madison Brown, was named PFW model of the year in 2012. Kelly Mittendorf went on to be the face of Prada after modeling at Phoenix Fashion Week.

After all of this year's emerging models strut their stuff during Phoenix Fashion Week 2014, which runs from Thursday through Saturday, October 2 through 4, at Talking Stick Resort, one female and one male model are crowned model of the year.

The announcement runs from 6 to 9 p.m. on July 10. Tickets are $20 for standing room only and $200 for a VIP table for four and bottle of champagne. Visit www.eventbrite.com for details.
