Angelos Bratis To Show At Giorgio Armani's Theater During Milan Fashion Week

Giorgio Armani is making dreams come true.

The famed designer is giving another emerging fashion talent the chance to show off his wares via a runway show. At his theater on Milan's Via Bergognone, Armani will host Greek designer Angelos Bratis' runway show during Milan Fashion Week, which runs from Sept. 17 through 22.

'My initiative in supporting little-known but promising designers is paying off, and personally, I'm quite passionate about it,' Armani told WWD.

'The future of the system depends on new generations, and I am happy to be able to contribute in an active way.'

Bratis, who was born in Athens and graduated from the Fashion Institute Arnhem in Amsterdam with a degree in fashion design, launched his namesake womenswear label in 2005 after working at Vionnet and Roberto Cavalli. Bratis also won the Who Is On Next talent contest promoted by Alta Roma and Vogue Italia in 2011.

'For me, the great Italian maestro is the perfect example of a designer who has deep values, expressed throughout a long career. These are the same values that I try to express in my work: femininity and pure elegance without artifice,' Bratis said.

In May, Armani announced that he would allow Christian Pellizzari to show at his theater during Milan's men's fashion week.

'During my career, [Armani's] talent, consistency and timeless style have always fascinated me. I hope to live up to his iconic theater with my fashion show, as this is an important step for me in my creative and professional life,' Pellizzari said prior to the show.

In January, Armani announced that he had selected Mirko Fontana and Diego Marquez of Au Jour le Jour to show their fall 2014 at his theater in February.

Andrea Pompilio, Stella Jean and Julian Zigerli have also previously showed at Armani's theater.
