National Archives to host DC Fashion Week opening

D.C. Fashion Week is going historical this year with opening night being held at the National Archives.

The Foundation of the National Archives current exhibit, entitled 'Making Their Mark: Stories Through Signatures', features iconic pieces and original signatures from past and current White House occupants.

'[The exhibit] includes former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy's pillbox hat and President George H.W. Bush's cowboy boots. It also includes first lady Michelle Obama's black and red dress worn the night of the 2008 election,' reads the abc News article.

D.C. Fashion Week is hoping that the exhibit will coincide with the fashions on display that take inspiration from many pieces and eras of American history.
