Metropolitan Fashion Week 2013 Closing Gala and Runway Show

Fashion fanatics have something to celebrate this Saturday, October 26 as Metropolitan Fashion Week selects the iconic Pasadena City Hall to host the Closing Gala and Runway Show.


Pasadena City Hall, located at 100 N Garfield Ave, is the Crown Jewel of Pasadena and is a favorite Hollywood filmmaker location from Charlie Chaplin's Oscar-nominated 1940 film 'The Great Dictator' to the current hit TV series 'Parks & Recreation.'


Presented by CTL Wireless, the Metropolitan Fashion Week Closing Gala & Runway Show will celebrate the world of fashion designers and costume designers in the following categories: Avant Garde, Period Time, Fantasy, SCI-FI and Contemporary.


The 95-minute fashion show will feature 15 designers and over 150 works of art created by national and international designers and costume designers. The first ever and only show in existence to celebrate the works of costume designers, participating countries will include: Italy, Sweden, Venezuela, Philippines, Mexico, and USA.


The runway show will start at 8:15 pm, while doors open at these times:


Media - 6:00 pm Platinum Circle - 6:45 pm First Class - 7:00 pm Business Class - 7:15 pm Centennial - 7:30 pm Fashion Pit - 7:30 pm


Tickets are on sale now in limited quantities at Shindigg.com/mfwh, with 15% of the Closing Gala proceeds to benefit the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA 'Compassion and Care for all animals' at PasadenaHumane.org.


Tickets will also be available at the door if available.


Being an indoor and outdoor gala, attendees are encouraged to dress accordingly and be inspired by creative Avant Garde styles. Ladies are suggested to wear evening gowns or cocktail dresses; while gentlemen are urged to wear tuxedos, business suits, or designer suits.


Jeans, tennis shoes, flip flops, shorts, or baseball hats will NOT be permitted at the show.
