Plus Size International Event: Plup Fashion Week Puts Full Figured Fashion On Display In Paris

If plus size women have taught major brands, it's that we are not above producing events that showcase plus size women wearing plus size designers.

The latest fashion week catering to plus size women took place on October 27th in Paris, France. Pulp Fashion Week (don't you love that name), proudly displayed plus size fashion for the world to see. Supporters of the event included Asos Curve, MaGrandtaille.com, Curvy Kate, and Forever 21, among others.

The event was created by Histoire de Courbes (History of Curves) to shake up the fashion industry. Pulp Fashion Week included an introduction to African Gym tonic, a workshop for those who wanted to learn how to walk in heels, makeovers and more.

Their models, also known as mannequins, were plus size women of various sizes, shapes and ethnicities.

Various U.S. news outlets have reported on this event which makes me smile. Despite fashion designers unwillingness to cater to plus size women, it's refreshing to see plus size events get the attention that they deserve.
